Cafe Vue at 401 St Kilda Rd

My mate and I went to Cafe Vue at 401 St Kilda Rd after hearing a lot of positive reviews about this place and were there for the infamous Wagyu beef burger with pommes frites ($15). The chips "frites" were nicely seasoned and crispy however the Wagyu burger was small (as small as Maccas's Big Mac) and to my disappointment the burger patty was dry and burnt (as you can see from the picture below).

The only upside of our visit was the coffee as they use coffee beans from 5 senses and the home-made tomato relish (ketchup) for the frites.

Grigons & Orr

I have to say Grigons & Orr makes good coffee. This place would definitely be one of my favourites to go for my craving for coffee fix.

The latte has a bitter - sweet finishing taste, just exactly what I like.

The place was packed and the breakfast looks enticing. I would certainly come back for it.

Oh!! and the coffee was only for $3!!! By far, the cheapest a cup of coffee I ever had.

P.s: When I was there, Granny Davis was nowhere to be seen. Probably she was in a room across the street with a shotgun if you happen to say something bad about her food.
